Deesiders are invited to view and express opinions on an exhibition of plans for further improvement works to Crathes Hall .

The plans will be on display at the first Crathes Fly of 2015, which takes place this Saturday, February 7, from 10am to midday in the village hall.

A group of local residents has been working with 87Architecture to draw up plans for phase two improvements to the hall.

This will address increasing concerns with making buildings more energy efficient by reducing dampness, improving ventilation, replacing the heating and lighting systems and adding more insulation inside and larch cladding outside.

The inside cladding will improve the acoustics of the hall and the outside cladding will make the hall look and feel more up-to-date and fit in better with its woodland setting.

Crathes Fly is also hoping to improve kitchen and storage facilities and to provide a green room for visiting performers.

The key questions being asked at the moment are: Do you care? Do you think it is worth it? Are you willing to help in any other ways you can?

Have your say and view the plans at Crathes Hall this Saturday.

There will also be the usual fine piece and a good blether for all in attendance.
