Man who died in RTC near Huntly named

The man who died following a road traffic collision on the A96 near Huntly on Thursday was Piotr Pawel Nowicki, 62, who lived in the Gartly area.

The collision occurred at around 5.20pm on Thursday, October 29, and also involved a silver Vauxhall Insignia.

Sergeant David Pirie from the Aberdeenshire and Moray Division Road Policing Unit said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of all those involved at this difficult time.

“Officers are continuing with the investigation into the collision and anyone who witnessed it and who hasn’t already spoken to police is asked to contact us on 101.”
