Deeside’s new community radio station is attracting a growing number of listeners.

The River Dee Radio team are producing a three-hour live show every Saturday, repeated at various times during the week. Listeners have responded enthusiastically to the eclectic mix of music, while the light-hearted, informative and fun chat is proving to be extremely popular.

As the station broadcasts a continuous ‘stream’ day and night, several presenters have made individual specialist music shows.

Jean Henretty, who has been scheduling programmes into slots throughout the week, said: “Since our apps are now freely available, we have numerous local listeners as well as fans around the globe. As I suspected from the start, this project is proving to be a great success and very popular with all ages.”

If you want to know when to hear programmes, if you are interested in radio, or if you have information you want to share across the airwaves, you can contact River Dee Radio via Facebook, or email riverdeeradio@gmail.com.

To listen in, the free app is on iTune and Google Playstore. The programme schedule is on the visitbanchory.com website.
