A 30mph speed limit on the B9119 at Tarland has been extended to cover the Park

House/Douneside Road junction.

Tarland resident Bill Gardner, of Knappieround, said he had raised concerns with Aberdeenshire Council, Grampian Police and local councillors about the speed at which vehicles were travelling along the road.

He said: “My request was quite simple - that the present 30mph sign be moved to a reasonable position for drivers to see. On Monday, March 12, new signs were placed further up the road and are far superior to the old ones. This is a step in the right direction, but I thought they could have been placed further up the road.”
