Peterculter litter pick

A GROUP of community-conscious residents in the Peterculter area turned out on June 27 to help clear some of the litter other residents leave lying around their area.

The organisers of the annual Litter Pick were delighted that 20 people turned up to help at the event.

Perhaps they were motivated by the fact that for the past few years Culter’s efforts to win a Gold Award in the Keep Scotland Beautiful competition has been hampered by the judges’ comments about the amount of litter around the village.

Spokesperson for the Culter in Bloom volunteer group, Carol Page, told the Piper: “Pleased to say there was less litter than usual - thanks go to all our volunteers.”
