Banchory Horticultural Society held its annual plant sale in the Scout HQ and raised over £1,300 for the annual show in September.
A spokesman said: “Whilst it wasn’t quite a record profit, we are very pleased with the result.
“A big thank you to all those who donated plants and who turned up on the day to help sell them. Who could refuse to buy the plants from such a bevy of beautiful sales-ladies?!”
The next events in the society’s calendar include visits to noteworthy gardens in the area.
The Gardens’ Open Day will be held on the weekend of August 4 and 5 and any keen gardener out there who wishes to show off the fruits of their labours is welcome to take part.
The society is also hosting the best kept garden competition which will be judged in early August. Prizes will be awarded at the annual show. Anyone wishing to take part should contact the chairman on (01330) 822705.
