Following the recent successful event at Birse Kirk, celebrating the life of Scottish poet John Skinner, £250 was raised towards the excellent work carried out by CLAN in Deeside in support of people living with cancer. Bryan Miller of Ballogie, who organised the Skinner event, handed the cheque to CLAN Aberdeenshire Area co-ordinator Gemma Powell and Shop Supervisor Brenda Larkin, at the CLAN local shop in Ballater.

CLAN Deeside‘s charity shop, provides a drop in facility with information on cancer related issues, health and wellbeing services, a befriending service and support groups for those affected by, and living with, cancer. The shop in Bridge Square is open Monday to Saturday from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
