Police on hunt for sppeding motorists

Police in Banchory are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic incident on the A93 between the Pass of Ballater and Banchory during the evening of Tuesday, August 20.

The incident happened between 10pm and 10.25pm and involved a silver Mitsubishi L200 and a blue Vauxhall Vectra. Both vehicles were travelling at high speeds on the road.

Sergeant McHattie from the Banchory Community Policing Team said: “We would like to thank the members of the public who called us with information about this incident. However, we are keen to speak to anyone else who has not spoken to us so far.

“I am appealing to anyone who was driving on the main A93 Ballater to Banchory road, or who was walking in Aboyne, Kincardine O’Neil and Banchory to come forward if you saw one or both of the vehicles driving during this time.

“The vehicles were both recovered following police intervention and we are very keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the conduct of the vehicles...”
