Provost of Aberdeenshire Jill Webster this morning unveiled a new broadband cabinet at Ramsey Road, Banchory, as part of the Digital Scotland Superfast Broadband programme.

The programme, together with commercial roll-out, will increase coverage of fibre broadband to around 95% of Scotland’s homes and businesses by the end of 2017.

A special drop-in event to inform local residents about changes takes place today (Tuesday March 17) between 12pm and 4pm in Banchory Town Hall.

Almost 2700 homes and businesses are set to benefit from the changes.
