Banchory residents can voice their views on Sandlaw Farming’s proposed development at Braehead at a pre-determination hearing this month.
The hearing will take place in the gym hall at Hill of Banchory Primary School at 7pm on Monday, April 20.
The hearing is a formal process allowing those who have already submitted valid representations, as well as the applicant and consultees, to express their views to councillors before any decision is taken.
A site visit will take place before the hearing at 6pm and interested parties are invited to attend.
Councillors will look at the site, but will not hear arguments for or against the proposals during the visit.
Although no decision will be made on the application at the hearing, a note summarising the points raised will be placed before the Marr Area Committee when it discusses the application at a meeting on Tuesday, May 5.
A report detailing views on the application will then be presented to a meeting of full council on Thursday, June 18, when a decision is expected to be made.
The application (Ref: APP/2015/0225) received 553 comments during its consultation period earlier this year,
Sandlaw Farming’s application is for 300 private rented homes, 75 affordable homes, 25 assisted living units and a health centre.
Anyone who has made a valid representation to the planning application and wishes to address councillors at the hearing, please contact Ann Riddell on (01975) 564804 or by e-mail at Ann.Riddell@aberdeenshire.gov.uk.
The deadline for submitting a valid request to speak is no later than Friday, April 17.
Copies of the report to be presented at the hearing, letters of representation received and pre-determination hearing procedures will be available from Banchory Library, Bridge Street, Banchory, from Monday, April 13.
The hearing address postcode is AB31 5ZT
