More than 500 visitors watched the spectacular Strathorn Farm Clydesdale Horses perform their very own Rio 2016 drill routine at Deeside Activity Park at the weekend.

George and Ruth Skinner and their team of grooms and riders from Strathorn demonstrated the versatility of the breed that has historically been working farm horses.

They are now used for anything from dressage to showing in breed classes under saddle, both astride and side saddle.

Wallace, Willie, Cruse and Windsor seemed to enjoy the public attention and George Skinner and his team were on hand to answer any questions.

Cilla Wood, Deeside Activity Park’s marketing manager, said: “It was amazing to see the wonderful Rio 2016 drill ride performed here at the Park on Royal Deeside.”
