Garioch Lions have invited a local Aberdeenshire cardiac rehab charity to be partners with them in a special Family Fun Race Night next week.
Under the title of “Have a Heart for your local cardiac charity” the fund-raising evening for Grampian Cardiac Rehabilitation Association will take place at Inverurie Town Hall on Saturday 6 April at 6.30pm.
It’s part of the Garioch Lions on-going programme of fund-raising which they use to support local charities. Next weekend’s event will be the third occasion in recent years in which the Grampian Cardiac Rehabilitation Association have been invited to join forces with the Lions for fund-raising events in Inverurie - in addition to the assistance provided by the Lions at the annual Grampian Cardiac Rehabilitation Association BenStroll sponsored walks.
The race night will consist of six races, each of which will be sponsored by local companies. Malcolm Allan Housebuilders, Andersons of Inverurie and Tawse Tyres have pledged £100 as race sponsors.
Each race will consist of children as jockeys on six hobby-horses. In addition, a bar will be available and there will be a raffle.
Tickets are priced at £5 per adult and children under the age of 12 are admitted free.
