Horseback UK - which operates two centres on Deeside - was set up as a charity almost three years ago to provide an introduction to the rural world for service men or women that have been injured due to their service to the country.
Access to the countryside is provided by horses which have been specially selected and more than one hundred and fifty service and ex-service people have now completed residential courses with the charity and there are now more than ten ex-service people placed on longer stays to gain work experience in the local area.
The Rotary Club of Aboyne and Upper Deeside has backed the charity from its conception and hosted a Texas Scramble golf tournament which raised around £2400. The money will help fund individuals through courses.
Horseback UK thanked the Rotary club for it‘s generosity and friendship.
