Safety first at Torphins

Primary 6 children at Torphins primary school are actively involved in ensuring pupil safety as they travel to school.

Recently, they introducted Junior Road Saftey Officers (JRSO). The role of JRSO works alongside the curriculum in providing children with a valuable learing experience which benefits the whole school community.

The officers provide support for younger children as well as educating them about how to travel to school safely. Officers note examples of good practice and then certificates and rewards are given at the weekly school assembly.
