The Milton of Crathes has welcomed many prestigious visitors in its time, with one jolly guest coming back year after year: Santa.
Record passenger numbers have ridden the Royal Deeside Railway this December to visit St Nick on board his special train.
Each weekend in December, the railway has operated Santa Special trains from their Milton of Crathes Station, along the tracks towards Banchory.
During the ride, Santa walks around the train greeting the children, and handing out presents.
Once all of the children have been greeted, Santa assisted by his elves, sings carols with the passengers.
When the train returns back to the Milton of Crashes Station, complimentary seasonal refreshments are on offer in the stationary coaches adjacent to the Station building.
The Santa Specials have proven to be very popular, and are almost fully booked, with a few spaces remaining.
The last four days of ‘Santa Special’ services are coming up on this weekend Saturday 21, Sunday 22, Monday 23 and Tuesday December 24.
