Visitors from a wide area descend on Banchory for the Scout jumble sale.

Banchory’s popular annual Scout jumble sale will be held on Saturday, April 30, from 10am until 2pm.

Organisers will be collecting from the local area on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week, from 6.30pm.

Scout GEC secretary Vanessa Holmes said: “Please have your jumble ready for collection. We will not be able to get to the whole town so you can always drop donations off at the Scout Hut on any evening next week.

“If you have a large item or a large amount that you specifically require a collection for then please call 07711 242650 and we can organise this.

“We would love donations of bikes, scooters, electrical goods in reasonable condition, garden equipment, sports equipment, bric-a-brac, pictures, toys, furniture (no beds or mattresses), recent books and DVD’s, CD’s.

“All items need to be in a saleable condition as we do get charged landfill costs for disposal of unsold items.”

The sale, in the Scout Hut, has been held for around 40 years and attracts visitors from throughout Aberdeenshire and further afield.

It usually raises more than £10,000.
