Search for missing Deeside cat

The owner of a missing cat is looking for help in finding her.

Last Friday (July 13), the pet cat jumped into the back of a delivery van near Tarland, undetected by the driver.

When he next stopped in Ladywood Drive, Aboyne, the cat jumped out and ran away. She is still lost.

The cat, named Phoebe, is an oriental shorthair breed, similar to a Siamese, and a distinctive beige colour.

There was one possible sighting in Bridgeview Place on Saturday evening, but so far there has been no further success in finding her.

She is a gentle and friendly cat, but may now be frightened and hungry.

If she is sighted, her owner suggests putting out some cat food or tuna, and some water, which might encourage her to return to the same spot so that she can be caught.

If possible she should be encouraged into a secure place where she can be collected.

Checking sheds and outbuildings may also be helpful, as she may be hiding somewhere safe.

If anyone has any information about her whereabouts, contact Lindsay on 013398 81159 or 07955 069023.

A reward is offered for her safe return.
