Councillor Karen Clark presented the trophy to the winners of the Christmas Shop window competition which has been running since 1981.

Taylor’s of Banchory have only won once before in 2003, and were delighted to be selected by the independent judge.

Theresa Taylor said: “ It was a real team effort - Bryan Gall had idea for the carpet snowmen, the fitters cut them out and stuck on the coverings, and Euan made the noses!”

Close runners up in this year’s competition were Charles Michie’s the chemist and Dee-licious cafe, both also on Banchory High Street.
