Members of Upper Donside charity The Silver Circle are getting ready for winter with new branded equipment and an upcoming Christmas Fair.
Day Centre members received new reusable shopping bags emblazened with the charity’s logo, which contained items that will be useful in the event of a power cut or other emergencies at home.
Members have also been busy with preparations for the Annual Christmas Fair to be held on Saturday, November 29, in the Lonach Hall, Strathdon, from 10am to 12.30pm.
A variety of stalls will be available at this popular community event.
Around 20 local groups and crafts people will be in attendance to sell their wares as the festive season approaches.
Entry is £3 for adults and includes teas and home bakes.
The Silver Circle works to support older people living in the Upper Donside area and has been developing over the past 17 years.
The weekly Day Centre, fortnightly Lunch Club, monthly Book Club, Award Winning Hospital Volunteer Driving Scheme and Friday Shopping Bus are services used and appreciated by many people.
The charity relies on a hardworking team of volunteers and four part-time staff to organise a variety of events and fundraisers throughout the year.
