Save the Children held a Strawberry Fayre at Raemoir House Hotel marquee on Wednesday, June 22, and despite the weather raised over £1,100.
The event provided an afternoon tea with strawberries and cream and lots of homebakes to over a 100 people. There were also stalls selling homemade jams and chutneys, baking and a tombola. Thanks went to all who attended and supported this very worthwhile charity and also to Raemoir House Hotel, Deeside Cleaners, Banchory Golf Club catering, Forget Me Not club and Angus Soft Fruit.
Sadly, Save the Children are losing the dedicated support of six women who have each given over 30 years service to the charity - they are Kathleen Bell, Beryl Daly, Anne Kelley, Alice Hutton, Isobel Lock and Meg Crooke. The team acknowledged their amazing commitment and hard work and wished them well in their retirement. Their knowledge, experience and enthusiasm will be missed by the rest of the team.
