Grampian Police are appealing for witnesses after a house was broken into in Tarland.
The house on Aberdeen Road was broken into during Tuesday morning ( November 13) and a quantity of foreign currency and jewellery was stolen to the value of a low four figure sum.
Investigating officer, Constable Gordon Brown said:“This break-in happened on the main road through Tarland and we know public service buses use this route.
The area is also used by local dog-walkers and I would appeal for anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward.
Additionally, foreign currency was stolen from the house in question and I’d be interested in hearing from any businesses or shops who have had anyone trying to spend or exchange foreign money in recent days.”
Anyone with information should contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5 700, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if they prefer to remain anonymous.
