Two teenagers have been charged in relation to a fire at a Westhill farm, which broke out in the afternoon of Sunday October 12.
The 13 year olds were reported to be assisting with Police enquiries on Monday October 12 after more than 30 hay bales were set alight at a Donside farm.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a fire at 4.50pm on Sunday 12 October and attended to assist the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service with the incident.
“Roads around the area of the fire were closed for a short time to allow the emergency services to deal with the fire.”
The blaze is estimated to have caused £10,000 worth of damage.
The youths will now be reported to the Children’s Panel.
Two units were sent to the scene last weekend from Aberdeen’s North Anderson Drive station.
The farm targeted is located near the Garlogie Roundabout in Westhill.
Police Scotland confirmed on Monday that the two youths had been charged and that enquiries into the blaze were continuing.
Drivers on the A944 dual carriageway alerted Police to the flames.
