Temporary Aberdeen bypass bridges set to be removed

Traffic restrictions will be in place over the next two weekends when temporary bridges on the Aberdeen by-pass project are removed.

Contraflows and lane reductions will be in operation while the structures on the A96 near Craibstone and the A944 at Kingwells are taken down.

Work on the A96 is expected to start at around 8pm on Friday, November 25, and will continue until around 6am on Monday, November 28.

The number of lanes will be reduced between Monday, November 28, from around 8pm until 6am the following morning to allow work to remove the central pier.

The temporary bridge on the A944 will be removed under contraflow the following weekend, from around 8pm on Friday, December 2, until around 6am on Monday, December 5.

Lanes may also be reduced between 8pm on Tuesday, December 6, and 6am the following morning, and between 8pm on Wednesday, December 7 and 6am the next day, if required, to allow the completion of the works on the A944.
