On Tuesday July 22, Royal Voluntary Service said a very special thank you to some of its volunteers with a presentation of medals and badges.
Volunteers from Banchory and Stonehaven were recognised for their contributions to Royal Voluntary Service, which has been helping people for over 75 years.
The following awards were presented: Helen Omand, a 10 year badge, Valerie Cadd, a 20 year badge, George Marshall, a 15 year medal and Pamela Nicoll and Liza Strachan with 30 year badges. They were joined by fellow volunteers Shirley Biddle, 10 year badge, Janet Booth, Jill Wade and Marie Brindley, 20 year badge, who couldn’t be there on the day.
The volunteers have helped with driving tasks, companionship, Glen O Dee tea bar and the Home Library Service.
