Young Banchory rock band, The Targetts will perform at Woodend Barn Arts Centre on Friday 15 June at 7.30pm.
Banchory Academy S5/6 students Dominic Adams, Eddie Hessell, Cameron Gibb and Jack Croal formed the group three years ago and list influences from The Beatles to the Arctic Monkeys.
The Targetts’ first gig was at the Fyvie Live festival in 2011, where they played to a crowd of 5,000, and to which they have been invited again this year. This Woodend Barn concert will be aimed particularly at young audiences who are being encouraged to sample the wide range of performances and other events regularly taking place at the Banchory venue.
This will include a concert from acclaimed Glasgow three-piece Sparrow and the Workshop, who are performing at the next instalment of Woodend Barn’s recently-created Deliverance band night on Saturday 23 June at 8pm, with support from Aberdeen’s Min Diesel. Tickets for this show cost £8, (£6 concession) in advance plus booking fee or £9, (£7 concession) on the door plus booking fee.
