Time to get the show on the road in Tarland!

Make a date in your diary for August 11 - it’s time again for the annual Tarland Show!

As ever, the event is packed with things to do and see for all age ranges and tastes. These include the traditional parades of cattle, horses, sheep, goats and dog classes; Highland Dancing, Vintage tractors,Horseback UK demonstration, hill race and bike hill race, children’s fancy dress and pets parade with Towie Pipe Band, Tug O’ War as well as a variety of trade stands.

The Guarana Street Drummers will enetertian the crowds with their Brazilian-inspired beats while the Towie Pipe Band willl provide the traditional sounds of the pipes and drums.

The fun gets underway on Friday night in the marquee with Eddie Roase and Garioch Blend plus guests from 9pm to 1am

On Saturday the bar is open all day from 11am till 1am and the marquee dance with Roscco Disco is 9pm to 1am.

11.30 Register for local highland dancing (you have to be registered by this time)

12.00 Local highland dancing to start

12.30 Registration for Young farmer and Open Stock judging

1.00 Young Farmer and open stock judging to start

1.00 Towie and District Pipe Band with the fancy dress parade
