How far would you go to support a Banchory business? One dedicated Deeside made it all the way to India by bike for coffee shop Dee-licious.

Local cafe boss Anne Lockhart tasked regular customer Gordon Casely with the unusual challenge of travelling all the way to India in a Dee-licious t-shirt.

Veteran cyclist Gordon, 71, who lives in Crathes, is one of Deeside’s better travelled cyclists, and has just returned from a three-week 400-miles trip touring the hills of south India.

Not one to turn down a challenge, Gordon turned up wearing the branded poloshirt at Cape Cormoran, the southernmost tip of India.

The trip to India saw Gordon notch up his 23rd country by bike.

Despite travelling far and wide, Gordon still believes the best coffee is to be found in Anne’s shop in Banchory High Street.
