CALA Homes, who have developments in Milltimber and Cults, are supporting a toy appeal providing presents for underprivileged children.

CALA Homes (North) have joined forces with ‘Mission Christmas’ as part of the Cash for Kids gift appeal - the north-east children’s charity aims to ensure that all children in the north-east wake up with presents to open on Christmas morning.

Cash for Kids and CALA Homes are encouraging the public to purchase an extra toy or gift this festive season and donate to those less fortunate, through their drop-off points located within CALA Homes’ Milltimber Grange at Oldfold Village in Milltimber, and the Rosefield Gardens show home in Cults.

The Mission Christmas appeal will run until Friday, December 18, with all the new, unwrapped gifts being collected and distributed to children in time for Christmas Day.

Last year, through the generosity of the public, Cash for Kids distributed more than 14,000 gifts to 4,738 underprivileged children, ensuring they got to unwrap special parcels on Christmas morning.

Mike Naysmith, Managing Director for CALA Homes (North), said: “We are proud to support the appeal to help make Christmas special for underprivileged children who would otherwise be waking up with no gift on Christmas morning.

“With over 4,000 children in Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire benefitting from last year’s toy appeal, it’s important that we make sure each and every person who applies for a gift receives one.”

More information on the appeal can be found at www.northsound1.com/missionchristmas. Or if you’d prefer to give cash donation, you can donate online, in person or over the phone.
