Two in hospital after Dinnet ambulance crash

Two people were taken to hospital in Aberdeen last night following a crash on the A93 North Deeside Road.

An ambulance collided with a car at approximately 5pm on Thursday, May 14, near the Dinnet Garage by Aboyne.

A paramedic is understood to have suffered neck injuries in the collision.

A total of 13 firefighters were sent to the scene in two applicances from Ballater and Aboyne.

The road was blocked last night following the incident.

Police were made aware of an RTC between an ambulance and a Nissan X-Trail at around 5:00pm on Thursday 14 May near Dinnet Garage. The two drivers were taken to ARI where they were kept overnight for observations with serious but non-life threatening injuries. Enquiries are ongoing.”
