Ballater Victoria Week is getting its thinking cap on early to plan for 2016 and make sure all will Be Amused, with a couple of brainstorming sessions.

The nine-day event gets bigger every year, and as such, more time is needed to make sure all the events run smoothly.

Ballater Victoria Week is presently put together by a small but dedicated group of volunteers from all walks of life, who hope that the event will continue to include fresh ideas to attract visitors to the area, while making the residents of the Deeside village smile too.

To that end, the group are hosting not one but two brainstorming sessions on Tuesday, November 3.

They will be held in the Beaton Craigie Room in the Victoria and Albert Halls, Ballater, at 2pm and 7.30pm, to allow as many people as possible to attend.

All are welcome, especially those with an idea or who just want to help out.

Feedback on previous events is also appreciated. Accompanied children are welcome, and there will be refreshments served.

At the Ballater Victoria Week AGM in October, almost £6,000 was handed out to 18 different local groups and charities as a result of the fundraising efforts that take place during the August fiesta.

Among them was A Bear Named Buttony, and three of the hard-working ladies from the charity are pictured receiving their cheque from BVW stalwart, 11-year-old Lizzie Scripps.
