The Dalvenie Gardens Resource Centre held a Victorian Day for the Banchory Day Centre and Forget-me-not group who meet at Dalvenie Gardens every week.

Former primary school teacher at Portlethan Primary Schoo, Alan Fraser, exhibited his collection of Victorian memorabilia and dressed up for the occasion.

Since retirement a couple of years ago Alan has been going around the primary schools in the Shire and the City to provide interactive education on the Victorian era and also World War 2.

Dalvenie Gardens Resource Centre forms part of Dalvenie Gardens Very Sheltered Housing Complex. It offers older people in the community a range of services including: social, recreational and educational opportunities, day care, advice and information.

The resource centre encourages those older people in the community to enjoy activities together with everyone else at Dalvenie Gardens.

The Forget-Me-Not Club was set up in 1999 and is run by a small group of professionals and volunteers who work together to provide support, assistance and care to people with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of Dementia.
