A record 5000 enthusiasts rolled up for the recent Crathes Vintage Car and Motor Cycle Rally at Milton of Crathes, near Banchory.

It was the best day in the event’s 20-year history with delighted organisers also hailing a record turnout of hundreds of vehicles in glorious weather.

Motorcycles and visitors were streaming in all day to enjoy the sunshine and the spectacle of these vintage vehicles

Harry McNab Event Chairman

Event chairman Harry McNab, of Banchory Rotary Club, said: “It has been a bumper year for the rally which will enable us to make a substantial donation to our main charity, the proposed Banchory Sports Village.

“We had a fantastic show of 350 vintage, classic and collectors’ cars and motorcycles and visitors were streaming in all day to enjoy the sunshine and the spectacle of all these vintage vehicles which are always turned out in immaculate condition.

“It was a wonderful family day out. We estimate the attendance must have been more than 5000.”
