Kincardine O’Neil Gala went ahead in spite of the wet weather earlier this month and was enjoyed by all those who attended.

A new event this year was a display of birds of prey from the Falconry Centre, Huntly.

The Gala opened with a fine display provided by the Ballater and District Pipe Band and a fancy dress parade for the children on a Royal Jubilee theme.

Young Kyle Milne was voted Prince of the Gala for his winning fancy dress holding an Olympic medallion

Medallions were presented by the village school to all the children as a souvenir of the Olympic torch parade which passed through the village the previous Monday.
