The North-east’s newest MSP has given his first speech at Holyrood paying tribute to former Donside MSP Brian Adam.
French-born, Westhill resident Christian Allard thanked the parliament for the warm welcome he has received and promised his maiden speech would reflect the lives of the people he represents.
The French born MSP also praised Westhill, the energy sector and the Doric, in the debate on the Haudagain roundabout.
SNP member Allard also spoke of when he first came to Scotland to set up an office for a major European haulage describing himself as a “French loon”.
Mr Allard formally worked for SNP member and Piper columist Dennis Robertson.
Still early in his parlimentary career, it remains to be seen wheher the Djion-born MSP can cut the mustard at Holyrood.
