sees the return of popular fiddler and composer Alastair Savage, this time in the company of Pete Clark, director of the annual Niel Gow festival in Dunkeld and Birnam, a musical celebration of the life of one of Scotland’s greatest fiddlers. Playing with them will be Euan Drysdale on guitar and piano in a feast of music by Niel Gow, James Scott Skinner as well as some of Alastair’s own compositions.

banchory lions book fair

The Banchory Lions Book Fair will be held this Saturday July 4 in Banchory Town Hall from 10am till 12noon.

We have over 4,000 quality used books to choose from, all at just 50p a book. And our wide selection of Children’s books are just 10p each.

All the money raised at the book sale goes towards helping many local community organisations, individuals, clubs and charities.
