Ballater’s Co-op took to the ice at the weekend by sponsoring the village’s rink, installed in the Victoria Hall as part of the winter festival.
The retailer was keen to get involved with the festivities and spread some Christmas cheer following last year’s devastating floods.
Ballater Co-op’s store manager, Jonathan Alexander said: "We were proud to be part of Ballater’s winter festival and sponsor the ice rink, which was enjoyed by so many people.
"It was nearly a year ago that the floods hit our village and it’s fantastic to see how far the community has come since.”
There was a busy weekend of activities for the fifth winter festival, which had the crowds flocking to the various events.
The Christmas lights switch-on took place and a parade was led by Ballater and District Pipe Band.
