FORMER Tarland athlete Bella Bayliss brought her Ironman Triathlon record to 12 career Ironman wins and 7 in the last two years winning the women's race at this past weekend's Ironman UK Triathlon in Bolton, England while her husband Stephen came second in the men's race.
Bella's victory saw her lead from start to finish winning in a time of 9h34m, with her team mate Abigail Bayley coming in 13 minutes behind her in second.

Stephen and fellow Brit Phillip Graves dominated the men's race amongst a world class field including Ironman legend Lothar Leder.

The pair exited the water in the front and lead throughout the bike with Phil taking a hard fought victory from Stephen by just over two and half minutes.

Bella said: "I am absolutely delighted to have won Ironman UK for the third time in a row. I was really hungry for this win as it is really special to win such a prestigious event in my home country. I am very happy.

I have now won three Ironman titles this year so I am very motivated for the rest of the season. Next is the Ironman World Championships!"
