BANCHORY St Ternan boss Steve Scott is refusing to get too downbeat about the return of the snowy weather.
The recent Arctic blast saw his side's Superleague match against Banks O'Dee on Saturday postponed.
Only one junior fixture in the north-east survived the wintry weather with most clubs facing a growing backlog of fixtures.
However Scott be
lieves there is more than enough time between now and the season's end for the remaining matches.
He said: "I had no complaints about our match on Saturday getting called off. There was no way the pitch would have been playable. At the end of the day you can't do anything about the weather. You just have to get on with it.
"There are still 18 Saturdays left this season so once we get a couple of midweek games in we will be fine. I don't really see what everyone is whinging about to be honest."
The Saints are back in league action this weekend – weather permitting – away to Maud.
Scott said: "It is always a tough game up there. Hopefully the game will be on. I'm not sure if it will be but we will keep our fingers crossed."
The Saints have a full squad for the match. Scott is also working hard to bring a new face to the club over the next few days.
He added: "We are working on one or two things at the moment but nothing is definite yet. Hopefully something will happen in the next week or so."
