Alan lifts title double

Alan Ross, 20, a member of Banchory Tennis Club had a very successful week at the Nairn Tennis Championships last week as he won the Men’s Open Singles for the second year in a row.

Alan was seeded at No. 4 and beat the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds on his way to clinching the title.

He also won the Men’s Open Doubles with his partner David Birrell from St Andrews.

In the Open Mixed Doubles Alan and his partner, Sheila WIlliams from Kemnay, were runners up for the second time.

Alan has been going up to the Nairn tournament for the last ten years and says he hopes to go back to defend his titles next year.
