Banchory Academy pupil Alex Crowe only started playing table tennis a year ago but he has already won a number of titles throughout the country.

The S3 pupil came out on top at the North Confined U15 Table Tennis Championship at the Aberdeen Sports Village last weekend.

Alex also won the 2011 Scottish NE Regional Schools U14 TT Championship where he was representing Banchory Academy on February 12.

That win qualified him for the Scottish Schools National Championships where he went on to win the U14 Consolation Final at the Scottish Schools National Championships which took place at the Bells Sports Centre in Perth.

Alex is currently in his first season playing at the Westhill Table Tennis Club. His team, the Westhill Demons, has reached the final of the Granite City Trophy, which is to be played at the Aberdeen Sports Village on May 9.
