Backing for clubs

Alford AFC and Donside Juvenile FC have received a financial boost from TalkTalk, the home phone, broadband and mobile provider, who will sponsor the clubs for the next 12 months.

The funding from TalkTalk will be split equality between the two clubs who will use it towards replacing training equipment.

Alongside the sponsorship, TalkTalk is investing £50,000 in technology to bring best value broadband offers to Alford among other areas.

TalkTalk is expanding its Next Generation Network in the area, which gives customers access to fast, reliable broadband services for all of the family’s needs.

Alford AFC is a non-profit making amateur football club with one adult team. Donside Juvenile FC are also a non-profit making, self-funded football club. Children start playing football at Donside Juvenile FC from the age of 5 through to 17. Alford AFC takes players from 16 years and above. Both clubs play at council owned pitches and have a council owned pavilion to change in.

The teams pride themselves on bringing together all kinds of people from the local community and welcomes anyone interested in getting involved in the sport.

“With support from TalkTalk we will be able to improve facilities and equipment at the club which will benefit all of our players.”
