Banchory boys win cup

BANCHORY Primary School were crowned the winners of the McLean Cup last week.

The Primary 7 team beat St Cyrus 4-1 in the final at Inverbervie on Friday night with goals from Lawrence (2), Crawford and Fraser.

The trophy, the most prestigious in Kincardineshire schools football, was presented by Karl Revel, former head of Banchory Primary and former chair of the Kincardineshire Primary Football Association.

Banchory Primary School last won the McLean Cup back in 2008.
