Culter come from behind to take win

Culter came away from Pleasure Park with all three league points against a young Maud team which is under new management.

The away team kicked off into a strong breeze and Leith headed a Youngson cross over the bar in the 11th minute.

Four minutes later and McArthur’s long throw in was met by Luke BARBOUR who sent a header past his own keeper to give Culter the lead.

Lynch cut in from the wing and his angled drive was well blocked by Rattray but in the 34th minute it was all square.

Morrice was left with space on the wing and his low cross was turned into the net by Luke BARBOUR to make up for his earlier error.

Just on half time Rae fired the ball across the Culter goal which was just missed by the outstretched leg of Barbour.

Shortly after the break Leith’s long pass found Jamie McAllister who lobbed the advancing keeper and McBain ran in to smash the ball into the empty net only for the linesman to flag for offside.

The away side were playing some neat football with Leith and Jamie McAllister forcing the home keeper into a fine double save.

Hall’s 20 yard free kick bought out a great save from Farquhar but the ball landed to Craig RITCHIE who had the simply task of tapping the ball into the net.

Four minutes later it was all square. Darren McAllister was fouled in the penalty box and up stepped Jamie McALLISTER to thump the ball home from 12 yards.

McALLISTER then latched onto a Shand header in the 75th minute and turned his marker before drilling a low shot into the corner of the net from 16 yards.

McBain went on a mazy run and his cross found McAllister again but his header was well saved by the legs of the Joe Barbour.

In the dying seconds Farquhar had to turn away a Morrice shot to make sure the three points went to Culter.
