Superleague champions Culter completed their pre-season build up with an entertaining win over Tayside outfit Broughty Athletic.

Both sides played some neat football and it was McIntosh who made the first save of the match, diving at the feet of Torrance when the striker tried to round the home keeper.

Stott then kicked Tweed’s header off the line and the ball landed to Lunan 12 yards out who fired the ball off the bar.

With half time approaching both Stott and McAllister just failed to get on the end of McBain crosses. On 50 minutes George McBAIN was left in space and slipped the ball past away keeper Cromack to give Culter the lead.

Torrance at last managed to get the ball past McIntosh but Rattray was on hand to clear the ball of the line.

Shaw just failed to connect with yet another McBain cross but on 76 minutes Culter increased their lead.

McBain fired a low cross across goal and Ryan STOTT was on hand at the back post to tap home. With minutes to go McLeod headed the ball into the path of Ross LUNAN to thump the ball home to give Broughty a consolation goal.
