Culter end the season in style

Culter completed a memorable season with a resounding win over Ellon United at Crombie Park.

With The Deesiders already guaranteed fourth place Jamie McALLISTER pounced on a defensive mistake and calmly slotted the ball home in the 5th minute.

Page then saw his header kicked off the line but in the 17th minute it was all square.

The home defence failed to clear their lines and the ball made its way to JOHNSTON, who appeared to be in an offside position, and he could not miss from six yards.

Greg Mountford crossed for brother Chris to head against the bar and Deuchars was called into action in the 22nd minute, racing up the touchline to replace a broken corner flag.

Jamie McAllister shot over then drove another shot just inches wide before his reverse pass found Darren McAllister whose curling shot was well saved by the Ellon goalkeeper.

Darren McAllister headed down to Chris MOUNTFORD in the 35th minute who turned and tucked the ball into the net for 2-1.

Three minutes later and it got worse for Ellon when Forsyth was shown a red card for comments made to the referee.

Darren McAllister hit the post and Jamie McAllister shot against the keepers legs as the onslaught continued but Culter went into the break with a slender one-goal advantage.

Darren McAllister’s cross on the 61st minute was handled in the box and up stepped Jamie McALLISTER to hammer the ball high into the net.

And Jamie McALLISTER completed his hat trick seven minutes later after latching on to a Youngson pass before coolly lobbing the ball over the keeper.

The Ellon players lost their cool in the 75th minute when Darren McAllister crossed for Jamie McALLISTER to tap home his fourth goal.

The visitors thought that Darren McAllister had fouled the Ellon defender before crossing for the goal. Instead the Ellon player was shown a straight red card for taking matters into his own hands.

In the 80th minute McArthur crossed for Chris MOUNTFORD to score at the second attempt.

And three minutes later Chris MOUNTFORD slammed home his hat trick to complete the scoring and Culter’s season.
