Culter crashed to theirfirst league defeat of the season at Denmore after losing three first half goals, and despite a second half comeback the hosts held on for the three points.
It all looked promising for Culter in the early stages. Taylor’s shot was comfortable held in the open seconds and the tall striker then laid the ball into the path of Youngson whose shot scraped the post.
McBain thundered an effort over from a tight angle but in the home side’s first attack in the 14th minute they went ahead. The away defence failed to clear their lines and former Culter player Pete SHAW was left in space to poke the ball beneath Duguid.
From a Culter corner, the ball was cleared upfield to Shaw who squared the ball to Craig HAY who slotted the ball past Duguid from 16 yards in the 20th minute.
Russell then skipped past three tackles before passing to Pete SHAW who drove the ball into the corner of the net from the edge of the box to make it 3-0 after half an hour.
Leith skied a shot well over then McAllister’s 20 yard shot just flew by as Culter tried to get one back.
McAllister headed past the post as the half time whistle blew and a few choice words being said in the away dressing room.
Early in the second half, McAllister blasted a shot that the home keeper turned away for a corner and from the resultant corner Wilson’s volley was also turned away.
A McAllister 30 yarder flew past and then the striker just failed to connect with Taylor’s header across goal.
Wilson’s long pass was chested down by Jamie McALLISTER on the hour mark and he turned and smashed the ball past the home keeper from 18 yards.
Culter were now camped in the home half and McBain’s shot was saved and fell to McWilliam who drove the ball past with the goal at his mercy.
McAllister’s snap shot was flapped away before the striker crossed for Ross McWILLIAM to hook in a second in the 94th minute but it was too late for The Deesiders.
