Tap dancers from Deeside took part in an attempt to break a world record for most people involved in a routine at the same - but unfortunately did not meet the target.

64 tap dancing students fro the Deeside Dance Centre participated in the event to have the most dancers take part in a Tapathon at one time on Sunday, November 15.

They were trying to break the Guinness World Record for the greatest number of people performing the same tap routine at multiple venues simultaneously - with the current record being at 7956 people.

Unfortunately, they were short by just 233 people, but across the country £36,000 was raised for Children in Need in the endevour.

The event was for ages from as young as three-and-a-half to the club’s adult dancers, where they performed the routine to Uptown Funk at precisely 1pm on the day.

It was led by tap teacher Miss Donna Park.
