The pitch was covered with around two inches of snow at 8:30am after heavy overnight snow in Banchory.
A decision had to be made as Maud’s bus was leaving at 10.30am so photo evidence was sent to NRJFA Secretary Richard Easton, and after discussion on the phone, he waived the need for a referee’s inspection.
However at 2pm kick off time the snow had completely disappeared, but water was lying on the pitch making the decision to postpone early in the morning the right one.
Hopefully the weather will take a turn for the better this coming week as New Elgin make the long trip from Elgin for a PMAC Superleague match kick off 2pm. Saints have not had a home game since December 28 when East End were the visitors.
