As part of their “Advocating Youth Development” initiative, Raeburn Christie Clark & Wallace received an overwhelming response from local youth sporting teams and clubs for the offer of £300 kit sponsorship.

Banchory Eagles football team were the lucky winners for the Banchory branch, who recently took delivery of their new kit.

James Christie, branch partner in Banchory said: “We are delighted to be able to help youth teams in our branch areas and received an amazing response to our initiative. In the current economic climate, youth sporting teams are finding it increasingly difficult to obtain sponsorship and we are pleased to be able to help the club update their strips.”

He added: “It was a difficult decision to choose just one team to receive the sponsorship as there were so many deserving teams. This initiative has highlighted to us the problems many youth teams experience and all of them desperate for funding. Equally in need of funding was the Otters Swimming Club in Alford, who currently have over 60 youth members and our firm also granted sponsorship to this group to enable them to buy swim t-shirts to wear at competitions and galas.”

Davie Hector, Under 12’s coach of Banchory Eagles said: “We have received our new strips with thanks to Raeburn, Christie, Clark and Wallace at a great time as we have recently moved to 11-a-side competitive football in the Under 13’s ‘A’ league. Our players have worked hard to get there and this has given them an additional boost.”
