Fun day for juniors as they take part in Lumphanan Golf Club’s Olympic event

A team of three junior boys and three girls from Banchory Golf Club played in an inter-club match on Saturday 15th September at Lumphanan Golf Club.

The team was Scott Anderson, Reese Milne, Aiden Sangster, Cara Rough, Isla Ewart and Natalie Cowie.

The youngsters enjoyed a wonderful match against six junior boys from Lumphanan Golf Club in glorious sunshine and were made very welcome. The score was 2.5 - 0.5 in Lumphanan’s favour.

They then went on to play in the junior ‘Olympic’ fun golf event in the afternoon which was open to all junior golfers, where young golfers from the age of three were taking part. The day was a great initiative to encourage young golfers to have fun. Banchory’s Cara Rough won the girls’ section.
